While Genshin players enjoy Luna IV’s first phase, we already have details about the second. Here’s everything to expect from version 6.3’s second phase.

Genshin Impact’s awaited 6.3, Luna IV update has dropped which introduce some key characters to the roster. Columbina debuted in the current first phase of the update. This is a huge deal considering how much she means to the lore of Nod-Krai. However, the lore and big character drops don’t stop there. With the second phase, Zibai will also be making her debut alongside Illuga. Here’s everything to expect from the upcoming second phase for Genshin 6.3.

⏱️When Will Luna IV Phase 2 Drop?

Genshin Impact is currently enjoying the first phase of 6.3, which dropped not too long ago. It started on January 14th as the first new update of the new year. However, once the update ends on February 3rd, the second phase will begin with Zibai and Illuga debuting. While that may feel like a long time away for some, that actually only gives players a week of time to prepare before the drop. To get more Primogems and Wishes, you can get a genshin impact top up for the new banners right now!

The first phase is running Columbina as the newest character, along with a rerun of Ineffa. Ineffa’s debut was several months ago nearing the release of the Nod-Krai region. Considering that, we may not see a Columbina rerun for a while. However, she’s become a really popular and central character in the lore and main storyline, so she might reappear sooner than other reruns. We’ll just have to see.

🎉 The Debut Characters

There are two debut characters that have been confirmed for the second phase of 6.3. One is a new 5-star with her own banner while the other is available on both the debut and rerun banners as a 4-star character. These are Zibai and Illuga. However, we also will get a return of Neuvillette to pair with Zibai in potential future builds.

Along with the new and featured additions though, we also get some others you may pull. Aino is a big one here, as she debuted not too long ago. During the previous Luna updates, she ran with Durin when he got released. She had several events themed around her as well. If you missed her, you have the new chance to pull for her again as a Support. Gorou also appears as a Geo Support which you might get.

⚜️ Zibai

Zibai will be a Lunar-Crystallize Main DPS character with the Geo element specialization. As per the common Lunar theme of Nod-Krai, she’s another unit that will be causing Lunar Reactions within her kit. This is always nice to see considering the growing opportunities players have to create powerful Lunar builds with these party members.

Something worth noting about Zibai that might be a little worrisome gameplay-wise is her element. We haven’t had a lot of Geo Nod-Krai members debuting. The majority thus far have been Electro and Hydro based. Some prime examples are Ineffa and Durin who both carry the Electro element, with Aino and Columbina using Hydro. Zibai is the odd-one-out, but maybe she can pair with Illuga for some help.

🪙Illuga

Since there isn’t a lot of Lunar Crystallize or Geo Lunar characters in Genshin yet, Illuga is meant to help add to it. The main worry with Zibai is her lack of synergy with a lot of other party members because of her element and new Lunar Reaction. However, Illuga performs the exact same reactions and Elemental effects as her. Not only that, but he also works as a Support unit as a stat buffer.

When first added onto a team, he promises to buff primarily Geo damage, but can be improved to buff Lunar damage too. These buffs apply whenever he hits with an Elemental Burst or through any of his passives. If you manage to pull Zibai, Illuga is gonna be a must-have to help her synergize better in teams. Otherwise, Illuga looks to be a strong contender for any Geo-centric team in need of more Elemental application.

♾️ The Rerun Characters

Next are the rerun characters that have been confirmed for the second phase. While reruns aren’t always in the spotlight, they’re highly valued for veteran players looking to perfectly complete certain team builds. Typically for the 5-star reruns, they’re meant to be a good synergy for the debut unit. This ensures that characters like Zibai can have a decently powerful team to start with.

The newest 5-star rerun making a return is Neuvillette along with a few 4-stars. Neuvillette was once known as part of the Genshin Impact meta for Main DPS units. However, the Nod-Krai update has changed what players are looking for and how strong enemies can be. While that doesn’t work in Neuvillette’s favor, he still picks a good fight. 4-Star units like Aino and Gorou also make a reappearance, who pair with their matching elements with Neuvillette and Zibai.

💎Neuvillette

While Neuvillette doesn’t have the same power as he used to, he’s still a worthy pick for your Primogems. He’s a Hydro Main-DPS unit that punches hard with his Charged Attacks. He can even hover during his attacks which add to his Movement Speed and Defense by avoiding hits. He can also fit into a lot of different Hydro teams, though Lunar ones might be debatable considering the need for Lunar Reactions.

⚙️ Aino

Aino is a featured 4-star unit who also carries the Hydro element like Neuvillette. She’s a pretty strong Sub-DPS and has appeared a lot in previous updates among events and other banners. Because of this, you might already have her in your roster! It’s very likely considering just how easy she is to pull. However, she’s making a reappearance once again, which is great considering just how well she can synergize with Neuvillette.

🦊 Gorou

Gorou is the final rerun character and is another Geo unit. Geo is making a theme for this phase considering Zibai and Illuga, but it’s much appreciated! Both Illuga and Gorou could potentially synergize as Supports for Zibai thanks to their matching elements. Not only can Gorou heal, but massively buff Geo damage outputs similar to what Illuga can do. Imagine the possibilities there!
